Our tour guide and coach driver is Tony Coen who has been leading our tours for several years. Having carried out that task for every Tour to date, he is very conversant with the attractions, travelling times and people that are encountered along the way. His interests are varied but he is specifically a railway historian, locomotive driver, tour coach driver and a member of the prime tourist rail organization in Tasmania - TATRail - which is part of the national Association of Tourist and Heritage Rail Australia (ATHRA).
The Tour covers all of the heritage railway operations in the State as well as some of the iconic scenic and historic attractions that Tasmania is famous for. There is something for everyone; the Tour is not intended to be a dedicated “rail fan” trip but it does allow the traveller to combine a hobby with nature and history. We know that passengers will enjoy the 8 days as have those who went before them....
