Shellharbour City Museum (formerly Tongarra Museum) has relocated to a new home in the Shellharbour Civic Centre, located on the beautiful south coast of New South Wales.
They aim to share stories, past and present of the people, places and events that make this great city what it is today. The collection includes artefacts, photographs, oral histories, maps, lithographs and historic documents that relate to Shellharbour City and its people.
Entry is free and there is a plaza space for groups to gather and enjoy the sunshine or their packed lunch. For schools, a visit to the Museum is a great way for students to learn about the history of their area. Staff and volunteers provide guided tours tailored to your needs. Entry is free.
