Committed to growing and making 'classic' regional McLaren Vale wines, Dowie Doole utilises fruit from the three partner’s (Drew Dowie, Norm Doole & Leigh Gilligan) vineyards to make wine under the care of winemaker/GM, Chris Thomas. The Dowie Doole vineyards are home to some of the earliest planted vineyard sites in McLaren Vale and provide a varied suite of vine age, geology & micro climatic influences. Displaying a distinctive full body and a characteristic smooth, savoury edge, their wines focus on varieties that are naturally suited to McLaren Vale and their particular vineyard sites. The Dowie Doole Tasting Room is open for wine tastings seven days a week from 11.00am -5.00pm. Cheese platters and coffee are also available. The beautiful venue set in The Wetlands vineyard can be hired for small functions and corporate events.
