Daytona Beach Remains The Premier Destination For Collegiate Cheer And Dance Championship Through 2030 With Varsity Spirit’s Continued Commitment

Varsity Spirit, a recognized leader in the cheerleading, dance, and band competition industries, has announced an exciting extension of its partnership with Daytona Beach. The Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship, organized by the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and National Dance Alliance (NDA), will remain a prominent event in Daytona Beach through 2030.

As one of the largest and most prestigious events in collegiate cheerleading and dance, the championship consistently attracts top teams from across the United States. In 2025, over 470 teams competed, with 38 local hotels supporting the event. This large-scale competition generates significant tourism and contributes to the economy of Daytona Beach.

The 2026 competition, which will take place from April 8-11, will mark the 30th consecutive year that Daytona Beach hosts this renowned championship. The championship will return to the Daytona Beach Bandshell and the Ocean Center, two iconic venues that have become central to the event’s history and tradition.

This long-term agreement between Varsity Spirit and Daytona Beach highlights the city’s unmatched facilities, strong community support, and commitment to providing an exceptional environment for athletes and fans. Daytona Beach has become a central part of the championship’s identity, creating a distinctive atmosphere for the teams and spectators.

Beyond its athletic and cultural impact, the event brings considerable economic benefits to the area. Local businesses, including hotels, restaurants, and retail stores, experience a surge in activity, making it a key event in Daytona Beach’s tourism calendar.

Looking ahead, Varsity Spirit and Daytona Beach are excited to continue their partnership, ensuring the championship remains a staple in collegiate sports and a highlight for the city in the years to come.
